Young Kitchen Spekulatius spice
Once a sinfully expensive pastry, nowadays no one can enjoy enough speculoos at Christmas time.
Tip: Cream 150 g butter with 125 g sugar and 1 egg. Stir in 2 - 3 tsp. Spekulatius spice, 60 g ground almonds, 300 g flour and 1 tsp. baking powder. Form dough into a ball and chill for 1 hour. Then roll out to a thickness of approx. 4 mm, cut out and place on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake in a preheated oven (convection oven 175 C °) for 12 minutes.
